Overview:
Inis Nua is hiring a General Manager. This full-time position will report to the Artistic Director. The organization is currently working from its Center City office on a hybrid schedule and seeks an individual with the ability to advance projects on their own initiative, has strong organizational skills, and an interest in helping the company advance its mission with new artistic leadership while celebrating its 20th season next year.
The General Manager role is a central one for the company and is the point of contact for many of its activities. Inis Nua operates with 2.5 staff members (full-time Artistic Director and General Manager, part-time Development Associate) and contracted personnel for key functions including PR, bookkeeping, and graphic design.
Duties and responsibilities:
The GM will be responsible for managing season marketing activities and ticket sales, acting as the business manager, and assisting with development activities, with estimated percentage of time devoted to each as below:
Marketing and box office 55%
Business manager – 35%
Development – 10%
Marketing and box office
Create and implement marketing plans
Oversee and operate as a liaison with PR contractor
Oversee and coordinate print materials for shows, season brochure, and other marketing materials, working in partnership with graphic designers and Artistic Director
Oversee online box office activities and subscriber management
Maintain company website and social media presences
Business manager
Issue contracts and payment for all contracted personnel and vendors
In coordination with the Artistic Director, create season and production budgets and financial reports
Responsible for payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Maintain agenda and lead weekly staff meetings
Development
In collaboration with other staff, set fundraising targets and timelines
Prepare financial reports for grant applications and reporting
Assist with fundraising events and donor cultivation
Responsible for annual DataArts submission
Qualifications and requirements:
- 3+ years professional marketing or administrative experience or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms
- Strong writing, copy editing, and communication skills
- Experience with working with financial systems and processes, or strong aptitude and willingness to learn
- Comfort in communicating with wide variety of stakeholders, including directors, designers, patrons, and vendors
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Act as an administrative collaborator and thought partner with Artistic Director
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is $37,000 - $40,000 commensurate with experience. Full-time employees are eligible for a full benefits package, including health insurance reimbursement and paid time off.
