Secrets and spirits are revealed, retorted and released, when a British-Jamaican family gathers for the customary nine nights of mourning following the death of their matriarch. Grief and joy mingle together and collide over food, gossip and familial ritual. Gordon’s Nine Night was the first play by a Black British woman to be performed in London’s West End.
